About Cindy
A Middleton, WI native, Cindy Stefanek teaches and choreographs Modern and Ballet at Central Midwest Ballet Academy, and is a Pilates instructor at Signature Pilates and Wellness as well as their Client Experience Manager. Additionally, Cindy teaches community dance classes with business, Moving In Faith LLC, in Mazomanie, WI, at The Grove. She is the resident choreographer for the Wisconsin Heights High School Theatre Department, where she has choreographed musicals such as Anything Goes, Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella, and James & the Giant Peach. Cindy graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.S. degree in Dance, an additional major in Health Promotion & Health Equity, and a Pilates Certificate. At UW-Madison, she gained a well-rounded training in modern, ballet, and contemporary dance, while supplementing her dancing with ballroom, choreography, improvisation, and musical theater. She studied under many professors, including Collette Stewart, Kate Corby, and Marlene Skog. Along with teaching and choreographing, Cindy works in the H’Doubler Theater under Claude Heintz as stage manager. She is passionate about integrating all her movement knowledge to create a challenging, fun, and supportive experience for her students and clients. She loves bringing fitness to the community and being a positive part of someone’s day, while helping them grow and get stronger. Cindy started her dance training at Central Midwest Ballet Academy under Marguerite Luksik and performed in many productions, including Myrtha in Giselle and Soloist in Paquita, Odalisque in Le Corsaire, and a corps de ballet member in La Bayadere.
